ColorCoat’s Cedar Rapids footprint expands on the SW side
With a new lease signed, ColorCoat’s Cedar Rapids footprint is now just shy of 20,000 square feet at 551 60th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. The company will occupy roughly one-half of the newly constructed industrial building.
“Establishing a permanent location in Cedar Rapids allows us to effectively service the needs of a large local customer,” President David Whisenhunt said. “Our new space will be utilized to paint vinyl windows and doors.”
Adam Gibbs, SIOR of GLD Commercial represented ColorCoat, Inc. in this transaction.
“With the substantial rise of eCommerce during the pandemic, warehouse space has become somewhat scarce,” Gibbs said. “We were fortunate to find a building that met each one of ColorCoat’s requirements.”
Established 18 years ago, ColorCoat, Inc. is the largest third-party exterior coatings applicator for the window and door industry. The company will invest $400,000 and create 40 new jobs in Cedar Rapids. ColorCoat, Inc. currently has nine manufacturing operations throughout the U.S.
